03 — Electronics & PCB development

Electronics for systems that can't fail. Designed, built and tested in-house.

We design the electronics inside our own unmanned systems — and build the same for clients in defense, motorsport and industry. From system architecture to tested boards, with mechanics and firmware developed by the same team. No hand-offs, no integration gaps.

Our own flight controllers and autonomous carrier boards are in service across 4 Ozmec platforms.

Proven in our own systems.

We don't just design boards for clients. We design the boards our own systems depend on — and every lesson from field testing goes back into your project.

What we design.

Board design

Multilayer boards that fit the enclosure — not the other way round.

  • Up to 12 layers, HDI blind & buried vias
  • Controlled impedance, length-matched routing
  • DFM / DFT reviewed with our assembly line
  • Altium — native files delivered

Power electronics

Clean, protected power from battery to every rail.

  • Input 600 V, up to 200 A continuous
  • Motor control electronics / ESC design
  • Reverse-polarity, over-current, transient protection
  • Thermal design verified by measurement

Sensors & compute

Sensing and processing on one integrated architecture.

  • IMU, GNSS, barometer, magnetometer
  • Camera & payload I/O for Jetson-class compute
  • Sensor redundancy and fault detection

Interfaces

Signal integrity and EMC considered from the first schematic.

  • UART
  • SPI
  • I²C
  • CAN / DroneCAN
  • USB
  • Ethernet
  • MIPI CSI
  • LVDS
  • MAVLink
  • RF / datalink
  • Telemetry & data logging
Environment & quality / 03

Designed for vibration, temperature and interference. Not for the lab bench.

Electronics in defense, motorsport and industry fail in the field — under vibration, heat and interference — not in simulation. We design against the environment from day one — and verify it before you see the board.

Environmental
Designed with MIL-STD-810 / DO-160 conditions in mind: vibration, shock,, humidity
EMC
EMC-aware layout; pre-compliance scans to MIL-STD-461 / EN 61000, in-house / partner lab.
Workmanship
Assembly to IPC-A-610 Class 2 / 3; soldering to IPC J-STD-001
Protection
Conformal coating, potting, ruggedised connectors on request
Quality system
QMS aligned with EN 9100 — certification in progress, target quarter / year.
Supply chain, IP & security / 04

European by design. Yours by contract.

EU engineering & assembly

Designed and built in Ormož, Slovenia. No dependency on restricted suppliers for critical components. NDAA-compliant selection on request.

Lifecycle & obsolescence

Components chosen for long-term availability, qualified alternates in every BOM, full traceability from part to board.

Your IP stays yours

Design files, source and documentation transfer to you under agreed terms. NDA from the first call.

Controlled handling

Restricted access to project data, version-controlled designs, export-control awareness / ITAR-free design.

Process / 05

From requirement to tested board in five steps.

Come with a concept, a full specification, or an existing board that needs a redesign. Every phase ends with a review and a clear go / no-go.

  1. 01

    Discovery

Requirements, environment, interfaces, constraints. NDA signed.

  2. 02

    Architecture & schematic

Block diagram, component selection, power budget. Design review with your engineers.

  3. 03

    Layout & mechanical fit

PCB co-designed with enclosure and thermal solution. DFM review.

  4. 04

    Prototype & bring-up

Assembly, staged bring-up, functional and interface tests.

  5. 05

    Validation & handover

Characterisation, environmental and EMC pre-checks, production test prep, full documentation.

Need us to stay on? Small-series production, revisions and long-term maintenance.

FAQ / 07

Before you ask.

Can you work from our existing design?

Yes. We review, redesign or re-spin existing boards — including obsolescence replacements and size or weight reductions.

Who owns the design?

You do, under the agreed contract terms. Native files and full documentation are part of the delivery.

Do you sign an NDA before we share requirements?

Yes. Send us your NDA or use ours — we can sign before the first technical call.

Can you also produce the boards?

Yes. Prototypes and series through our in-house assembly and qualified EU partners.

Are you EN 9100 certified?

Not yet. Our quality system is aligned with EN 9100 and certification is in progress, target quarter / year.

What is a typical project size and timeline?

From 2 weeks for a single board to X months for a full system. We give a fixed proposal after discovery.

Start a project

Send us your requirements. Talk to an engineer, not a sales desk.

Share a spec, a block diagram or just the problem you need solved. An engineer from our electronics team replies within 2 working days — under NDA if you need it.
